Playing Beau
Tommy, lets play. That you're my Beau,
Who's come to visit me
"Good evening, what a great surprise!
You're just in time for tea".
Now Tommy you must squeeze my hand
With all your might and main
"Somebody" always does it so
To my big sister Jane";
Gracious! You've hurt me horribly
How dreadful you can be
If other girls allow that style
Don't try it sir with me,
Then Tommy you must look forlorn
As though I'd caused you pain
"Somebody" always looks like that
With my big sister Jane"-
Forgive you, I don't think I shall - Pick up my Worsted please -
You've made me drop them on the floor - You're such a horrid tease.
I may forgive you if you stay, Quite still and hold this skein,
"Somebody" never dares refuse, With my big sister Jane -
"Kiss and make friends"? I've half a mind - To go and call mamma,
"Kiss and make friends"? Of course I'll no - Oh what a scamp you are -
Kiss you! indeed you awful man - You're crazy that is plain -
"Somebody" always does it though - To my big sister Jane -
