While with her trick of singing
Again the old woman said
“Are you tall the other two small
Is the little one dead?” (Terrible Significance)
But if your Mother had two little heads? She had one
[The youngest] her mother gave a shelter in her
At the time came to see her, the song tell the rest—
“The fall Leaves
To them among the fallen leaves
Young children, show they
And laugh to see the yellow things
So rustling on their way.
They’ll twinkle in the hush-down,
The autumn wind each one,
For there is a place where sun should be,
Or a rainbow gilt to see.
They’ll dancing from the [illegible] song,
And when they have all gone,
The last of nature’s children [illegible]
Is present to our own.
The [illegible] among the fallen leaves—the little [illegible]
That [illegible] [illegible] a little bird, [illegible] [illegible]
The trees will [illegible] [illegible] beneath the [illegible] trees,
And the colors kindle in our eyes. It leaves the air to [illegible].
While going for the cold gray sky, Clouds are in the rain.
We wish the old ones all [illegible], And they go flying once again.
