WEDNESDAY, May 1, 1872 Tuesday July 15th Maggie arrived today by Steamer from Belleville. she looks well though thin and pale. I was uncertain whether she could come or not. Friday July 25th 1879 ten days of a pleasant visit from Maggie have passed away and today she & Jeanie left for Kingston. she will take the midnight train for home. she is cheerful and composed, still I dread her position. she is very thin, but active as ever and looks better than she ever did. give me a list of Mr.Young's family viz Mary, Jane,Samuel, Susan, Mrs Wallace, Rosa, Robert, Andrew. she confided to me some other pleasing information regarding her own future plans. sister Mary came up tonight but missed seeing Maggie as she and Jeanie had gone out to her place, but they did not meet on the road. Mary left for home on Saturday morning.
