& GeoSandons went over to Fred Reads for ice-cream this Eve. Saw the (asylumn property) all burned. Arrived home 12 o'clock. Aug.9.-Sat- Sells-Fotto Circus in town to-day. Papa went to market. Very busy to-day. Warm. Aug 10.- Sun.- S.S this p.m. & church this Eve. Also service at Stone's Corners to-night Aug 11.-Mon.- Washed. Mama went up to Walker's this Eve. I was talking to Mrs. Halfpenny to-night. Aug 12.- tues.- took diahhea to-day & mama took it to-night. Lizzie Kelly & Miss N. Kayla were here a few minutes this p.m. Aug 13.- Wed- Mr Kyle was here all dau binding grain. cooked for picnic feel a little better. Dan Wright was here this Eve. Aug 14.-thur- Bethel S.S picnic at Penny's Point. Reo Mr. Boyd came here by stage & want out with Landon. Nearly 100 were out. Had a fine time. Beautiful Eve. Aug 15.-fri- Rec'd a card from Bertha & one from Aunt Sarah last night. Aug 16.- Sat.- Not very well. but busy. Rec'd a card from Ruby to-night. Very warm & dry for this past week. Aug 17.-Sun.- Very warm. S.S & church this pm. Heavy thunder. Storm 3.30 p.m. Lightening destroyed Mr. Fulford's house & barn on 6th Concess Cooler this Eve. Mr Jno. Walker was here this Eve. We had lemon-ade.
