Rob paid me in full $85.00 Ross G paid me $50.00 on what he owes me there is a balance of $10.00 due yet I paid Alex Bruce in full for Harvey job 5.00 it was $10.00 I paid the other 3.00 before I erected a small stone for a Deans child 15.00 not paid Ed [illegible] brought the load out to day I gave him $10.00 he took a [illegible] of stone back to Baptist for McKinley job I came back to H. Lillies finished McKinley base hauled it over to cem. + built foundation this eve

had tea at H. Lillies paid Girtie in full 2.00 I came over to R. Moultons stayed alnight was a nice day

2nd I came in home drove up to Joah Abrams called at Mrs. John Seale she ordered a set of posts 8.00 with the letters S on top I brought in 14 lbs of Honey from Moultons [illegible] $200 in Bank gave Mary 2.00 Renford 2.00 the Soldier came down to day we loaded Topping Kirkland Simpson Woods some on Webster waggon and some in my buggy I also brought slate stone for Harlem [illegible]

for [illegible] repairs 90 cts for 2 hn oats, I came out to R Moultons stayed alnight was a nice day 10 cts for [illegible' Ms O.V. Goulette order an $18.00 stone from me to be erected in Nov.

3rd I paid Annie for honey $1.25 came over to Baptist finished McKinley job there is $30.00 due me on it came onto Elgin we erected Topping job got $60.00 on it am to get the balance of $40 some where about the 20th erected Kirkland job A.S. Campbell owels me $20.00 for it I erected one for Ed Woods child he owes me $15.00 for it 10 cts for cement spent 35 cts 65 cts for dinner I came back + Rose G. Rob + I moved some stone

6th I gave Joshua Abrams $70 on [illegible] Renford was sick alday I did not do much drove down to David Moor this after-noon it rained a lot to-night 15 cts. for stamps

7th I drew $10.00 out of bank 10 cts for shave gave Mary $2.00 was a cloudy day a little rain have left to-night $9.69 cts got a book + pencil to-day 25 cts.

8th Thos. Gillespie came in got B. Base for monumnet 6.36 y.rt on it 5 cts for [illegible] was a very warm day we all went for drive this eve.

9th John Willeford came in I loaded 73 Die & C. in his waggon & took the pots in buggy & 2 froststones I owe him one yet. I left about 20 to 12 got through about dark had supper with Thos. he gave me a cheque for 131.80 I gave him $1.80 cash he still owes me $60.56 I got home after ten

Bank it was for $131.80 & drew $31.80 of it out was a nice day I gave Rexford 25 cts 15 cts for axe handle. gave May 25 Jim & Patience [illegible] for tea 11 th I priced Cardiff job got $20.00 25 cts out of Mer Bank went down (paid by cheque) 24.05 25 cts Duty 18.30 on Hollings- worth & Drowning jobs & 5.75 on Bell job & 14.79 Frst on on Hollingsworth & Drowning & 1.92 Frst on Bell job this to charged to John Third & sons) 50 cts for horse shoeing. I paid Frst. on Cardiff 1.94 Websters teams took load down & one up for me 10 cts for shave spent

12th Mary + I went to church this eve 20 cts I gave Dora 5 cts for S.S.

13th I gave Mary $7.00 and paid $6.00 to Customs for duty on Bell job it was altogether $11.75 I paid the other 5.70 on saturday Mr. W.H. Britton made a miatake is why I did not pay it all I went up to Mrs Clark on middle road after four

15th I worked on Regan cross + Ren worked on Dier job was a warm day Ed Gouyon agreed to take a load to Newboro and a load to station for me for $7.00 was a nice day

22 I came on to Elgin went down to see Pat Murphy about a job for John Murphy his brother he is to give me a chance on to Crosby seen W.S. Leggett got [illegible] had dinner at Geo. Church I hitched on his buggy we went to Della fair 25 cts got back before dark 5 cts for candy I marked on part of Leggett Jus. stayed alnight at Geo Church's

25th I finished up steel move lettering settled with Mrs Spicer 3.75 & J. Dier paid me in full 8.50 this Abbie Wright paid me in fuel 11.22 I got back to ready about three we finished to get the feed gave in fuel16.83 started for home & I paid Geo. Church $2.50 for me & Mrs Powell 10.00 for to dentist spent 15 cts at Ely in Glen Ely found me in fuel $16.00 that too at Powleys got home at half past ten was a cool day Mrs D. 28th 15 cts for an express paid C.O.D. was for deposit [illegible] $2.20 and 50 cts was tax 15 cts for candy & put the name Hunt on Rice & got a bag of apples 50 cts was a cold day

29th I worked on Hunt got this for - noon went out to new centry started [illegible]

Mackenzie for $68.41 cost 15 cts. 2 cts for stamps makes a total for those two drafts of $119.19 this came out of F. B. I ordered from V. M. Co 20 7/8 . 0 - 8 x 0 - 2 1 slab 1-4 x 0-2 x 2-0 got J. Slys cheque cashed 45.21 cost 5 cts got 1 lb of Dry white lead at Bennetts 12 cts one at Donovans 10 cts was a nice day I loaded Hunt job on Websters waggon this eve Mary & I went to

Oct 1st 2nd started for Rockport a little after six we got job up about three o'clock there is $120 coming to me on it I came through by Cherry Valley out to Jas. Hollingsworth made ar- -angements to set there job next tuesday onto Jas. Griers stayed all night sold a $200 job was a nice day but cloudy

2nd came on to Lansdowne called on W. G. Bradley he agreed to give me a chance before purchasing onto town got home

about ten it rained nearly all the forenoon I gave Mary 50 cts Ren- -ford 2.00 paid T. D. Ellis $4.20 cts for flour corn meal & oats 30 cts for grapes paid Connery Jack 1.00 for a load of stone that I used for the Graham job in Ebenezer J. J. Topping paid me $30.00 on stone owes me $10.00 5 cts for candy have left to-night 65.75 cts.

3rd We all went out to dinner with Adam Seal I spent 25 cts was a nice day got home at half past seven

6th Mr. Hodge paid me in full 5.00 I came up to Cern- got through about six had supper at Sam Hollingworth 50 cts drove out as far as Robt. Phillips from there by Mallorytown home was a cool day got home 20 to Eleven

7th I wrote to B. S. S. & J. Regina Geo. D. Mackenzie paid Slade Bros $24.75 & 14.75 for Black- smith Bill 10. for car trips to New Dublin paid W. A. Web- ster in full for teaming to Oct. 1st $54.00 gave Reyford 7.00 paid Walter Bill $2.28 5 cts for lead pencil came out to R. Moultons this eve brought Green Marble Base with me was a nice day 15 cts [illegible]

by Crosby cleaned letters on Leggett job on to Newboro cleaned letters on Steadman job then in to Mrs W. H. Chamberlains the boy promised to buy from me came on to Ross before tea & home got in about eight was a nice day

10th I went to church in morn Mary & Dora in eve 40 cts was a nice day

11th Renford done about three hrs work I ordered 3 jobs from Alex Fraser & co. gave the agt. $1.00 for 2 Dec. am't to $41 in all
