17 Tuesday. Fine day. We killed two pigs for Grandpa Maurer today and Grandpa was here for dinner Heard the song sparrows today

18 Wednesday. Mild day. Walter butchered 3 pigs at Welbert Beuder's today. Tornado in Indiana, Illinois and Missouri today. Hundreds of people killed and thousands injured

19 Thursday. Rained hard last night. Turned cold and very windy this morning. Ella went to Elmira with Walter and they had their dinner ar Art. Kliuck's The roads are fierce in places.
