When the house was aroused this morening all were surprised to find any water left in the kitchemn was frozen. The water in the. ird cage wasa frozen, and the lillie in the hall was toughed. Although this was the state of things in the house, the water in the ghorse stable was not frozen. It was very cold outside and was made more intense by a strong wind. I started to saw wood and daddy and Enah began to get the stoves ready to move. I broke the frame of my saw which was not much account anyway, so I went down to Huby's to get hos saw and also to get him to come and help us move the stove. We spent the rest of the morning getting the stiove up. We moved the big stsove into the inside kitchen and the little stove in the hall. We did not sdo any thing much but chores and I cut wood. It has been exceedingly cold all day. And it hopes feels as if it would be a cold night.
