1 Friday Not so cold
2 Saturday Kind of soft. we took down the double stove in the Kitchen and put a cookstove a Prince Albert that was in the house Moses Furnace was living in. got 1/2 gall Bl strap 25 25
3 Fine and bright I was in Church cousin Mary was at our house, was at prayer meeting at Hepsebah {Hephzibah}
4 got on Saturday, pepper 5 cts Mustard 5 cts sugar 15, raisins 15 cts I did not much today The Carnival in Montreal commences today Bird got her boots 85 85
5 Far went to Montreal so did Aunt Kate & Flora, Sandy telegraphed to us. he Elizabeth & Jimie leave for Montreal tonight. Pa & I gave our Measure to Pigeon for boots.
6 Got Ran's boots half soled. our leather 30
7 Thursday the first fine day this year Sun shone brightly and no drifting Pa & Pigon divided the hay today Pa took the West mow and Pigon the East. There was a man killed at about 3 miles East of Lancaster station, by the cars, and another badly hurt. last evening Richard {S?} / 1.80

8 Cold East wind, looks like snow 8 A.M. P.M. Snow and hail. evening, we were looking all day for Sandy's party but they did not come yet. it is quite stormy but not very cold. Pigon brought pa boots $.1.50. got 1 corn broom 25. 2 lb sugar 12 1.97
9 Saturday this is a pretty fine day, had a telegram from Sandy. They will be up this evening got 2 lbs raisin 20 cts 1 lb apples 13 cts 2 lb sugar 22 4 loaves bread 28 cts 9 P.M. The folk arrived .55

15 I am pretty bad with my teeth. John McDonald, Pensioner, was bargaining with Pa, about the Branch farm $.1.500. They will go to {Cons.?} all Monday Bird went to Stack to tea 4.46
