   <td>We were up most part of the night Burton's house took fire about 8 Oclock P.M. it burned a good deal about the roof They put out the fire as they supposed but they did not stop in the house for most of their bedding was taken out then about 1 Oclock in the morning the fire broke out again and before people could get out the whole house was in flames  we were in a flurry</td>

16 The Prayer Meeting was last night and George McGillivray & Jim Dingwall were preposed as elders and will be ordained on the 23. I had Mrs Coria washing this afternoon. Pa and Jimi were up the {Branch?} out to Sandy's, up sty G. McGillivray this forenoon, no word from Montreal 25
