November 1886

1 Very fine day I washed & got 1 lb tea 45 cts 45
2 Donald McLennan was buried today. Jimie was ploughing. Mrs Lantry paid $.2. Kept 1 for wall paper
3 Bought 1 lamp chimney 20 1/4 lb Black tea 15 = 35
4 Womans Meeting at our house got one new member Mrs Rev D McLennan 1.00 member 12 present I went to the Sidewalk Concert took 6 tickets 120 rained last night 1.20
5 Mrs Williamson paid her rent 400 Very fine day Jimie is ploughing We quilted most of the Missionary quilt yesterday, it looks well.
6 Began to snow about 7 A.M. And snowed until evening there fell between 6 & 8 inches. Jimie & Dan Lam went both to plough but came home 10.30. And brought the black wether and butchered it he was very fat
7 Sunday still snowing about 1 foot on the grain very few in church not more than 35 or 40 no prayermeeting The night so wild.
8 Pretty fine day. not many on road. Sent Murdy 5.00

10 Raining, very ugly day. I was at Prayermeeting got my feet wet got a letter from Murdy
11 Trying to do a little to my new dress Mrs Hunt Mr D. came to help at the quilt. he was too late
