Jessie Edgar and I went to a picnic at Southampton. Papa and Mamma went to {Teddests?}
Thursday Aug. 14. Fine & very hot About the hottest day this year. I went over to Scott's. Noble and I hoed mangels. Sharecroppers camped near the river.
Friday Aug 15 Fine & very hot. Hoeing mangels. Noble helped in the morning and was stacking in afternoon.
Saturday Aug. 16. Fine & very hot Hoeing mangels. Slight thundershower We all retured home but Noble.
Sunday Aug. 17. Fine & very hot Temp. 87 Noble returned.
Monday Aug 18 Fine & very hot. Temp. 61 Noble went out to Scott's.
Tuesday Aug. 19. Fine & very hot Temp. 60 Very smoky. Big fires in Muskoka and Peterborough.
Wednesday Aug. 20. Fine very hot. Temp. 54°.
