April

Th. 20th. A straw hat of Mess. Goble 25 cts. not paid.

F. 21st. Plowing used my new plow and think it will work well when scoured.

S. 22nd. A letter from Uncle Welton advising us that he had paid £55.14.o Sterling into the joint stock Bank of London to our a/c in Uncle Freds name. plowing.

T. 25th. Lent 341/2 lbs of flour with the bag to Rowans. ploughing.

W. 26th. Plowed in a small piece of peas as an experiment

Th. 27th. Sowed the rest of the peas and finished plowing for peas.

F. 28th. Commenced the fence between the orchard & the grass field then built nearly the whole fence between the peas and where we will sow the oats. Flour to Robert for D Shupe. 9 lbs.

S. 29th. A letter from Lizzie. Mended my chaff box. sharpen the cross?. and cleaned up seed wheat. 2 dozen of fish of Iden this week.
