Bartels & myself as Trustees for the Society to Port Elgin held a meeting this morning, when we gave Bartels an order on the Treasurer of said Society for the sum of Four Dolrs. as pay for his services for lighting fires cleaning room etc. They agreed to allow me half a Dolr. for the wood I carried for church purposes. M. 1st. C.F Schwendker cut a pair of pants for me. Attended the annual meeting of the Port Elgin Society of the new Jerusalem was appointed recording secretary and one of the trustees. promised two Dolrs towards the funds.
