− | + | July 1 the Reverend Mr Shane preached this morning to complete the {illegible} in the orchard with the machine I cut some with the side fine day {illegible} 3 Dan mowed some in the North Field West Side in the forenoon he went to Sand Bay with B McNeil in the afternoon I mowed in the afternoon it is all Clover & heavy for Andrew 3 loads of dung to the summer follow & cultivated some of the follow the hay is too wet to {illegible} 5 raked & cocked the orchard Ellen & me went to Sand Bay church opening Reverend Dr Landon preached Reverend Messer McQuaig & Gracie address the people then their tea in the Grove after find a 6 we raked & cocked first piece that we cut in the North Field it is in good order I raked a piece on this side it is heavier & Greener we could not cock it had not time 7 Heavy Rain most of the day we got in the hay that was in the orchard before it came or there was 2 loads of it put in over the couch table in the new Barn 8 Reverend Dr Landon preached this morning 9:00 we spread out some of the hay this morning Fred Johnston helped in the afternoon to draw in iraked 10 Johnston helped to draw in all day John Coslow helped in the afternoon got a good job d1 11 we mowed over next the fall wheat I mowed Dan took it away with the fork it is so heavy it gathered in bunches & is lodged & lying down fine warm day 12 we finished the cuting of the North Field it is very heavy so that we cannot rake it up till dry some 13 heavy rain last night Dan drew some dung 14 rain still very little d1 Dan Drew dong I attended Preparatory service & session meeting 15 Reverend Mr Shane preached we had the communion here there was over 50 par took of it 16 we went out to the 6th con Dan brought home the cattle that was there I brought a load of sawdust for the milkshed 17 | |
