January 1 1888  Revd preached this evening this stormy day too I went the village to voted for darling Reeve Richardson Deputy Reid cook & Austin counselors 3 Ad went again to help to take Miss McNiels corpse From the Vault & bury it in the McNiel at the Ebenezer burying ground in Lansdowne fine day for Ad went to Sand Bay for a load of wood it began to snow at noon & snowed About 3 in he brought 1 1 half cords of wood from the church side note X 5 Ad went to Escott for his grace that he left there he did not get it there is no water to grind wheat 6 Ad went to Sand Bay & got a load of wood home then we cleaned up 7 bags of spring wheat & tans to go to Lindenhurst tomorrow with his Grist 7 Ad went to Lindenhurst with bags of wheat 2 was fall wheat he got it & got 38 lb for The Bushel brand & shorts what & Lizzy went to Delta 7  Revd Mr Millard preached this morning 9 oclock Ad riged up the Bobslaughs & went to Sand Bay brought home a load of wood fine day 10 Ad went to a would be of Thomas Bradley he then took Ellen & her daughter with Jennet to Margrets Alan is on her way home fine day 11 Ad got home this afternoon he took the South to John Cooks to the bore it is the society hog 12 we attended the annual meeting in Moores Hall there was a good attendance John Cook was re-elected president & see Roth Vice I was put in a director side note I got $14.87 in premiums I gave it to Ad 13 Ad is fixing it home snow & wind with drift rain & snow in the afternoon Frost at night 14 fine morning Ad had to be drawing wood to day there was 10 loads came here & loads went to his place yesterday was so stormy that he did not ask all that he intended 15  Revd Mr Millard  preached at night 16 Ad drew a load of wood to the church he had 2 cords he put it in the shed
