− | + | January 1 I have to take care of everything Miss Hutchison went home to Brockville this afternoon McPherson went to visit the people in Fairfax Ad got home after dark from Delta strike through Ad chop some old dead trees in the bush fine 2 Ad he took Jennie to her school I did the chores 3 Ad& Philo drew some wood from our Bush hard Frost last night Mr McPherson went to visit at San Bay fine day for Jennet was at Mr Millard all night he is no better Ad drew some wood to the house from the woods Mr Mac Ferguson was visiting at Sand Bay 5 Ad brought the horsepowr here he intends to saw Bruces Boys did not come side note heavy rain to day 6 Mr McPherson preached this morning 7o clock heavy rain all day I went to the station& voted for the Reeve& counselors& gave Revd Mr Millard $5 of collection money for to pay supplies side note the trees is loaded with ice& snow so that they split& Brock down 8 Ad went to Gannon Oak way to the {illegible} meeting a great many trees is brought down with the ice 9 rain last night& all day no work done 10 winds snow& drift I attended the annual meeting of the agriculture Society was made an honorary member for Life there was a large meeting 11 Ad& Bruces Boys sawed up the wood that he had here fine day 12 went to Leeds to lay out a road there none of the parties at home fine day 13 Revd Mr Gracie preached this evening 14 Ad went to Sand Bay for a load of wood he brought a small load home roads bear 15 Ad went to Leeds to lay out the road again he did not get home till after dark 16 Ad took the sow to Robinsons to the Socities boar he left her there 17 heavy rain last night snow all gone except the sides of the fines Ad thrashed peas this forenoon | |
