They said all the figures were good except poor Captain Robinson who with Sidney McQueen acted as Babes in the Woods. He couldn't keep a straight face, but Sidney kept the samw sweet smile all through. They each had an enormous doughniut and when wound up would fdeed each other. It certainly did ,ook great for two of the. iggest men in town. Lila impersonated Little Jack Horner and except when she was exhinited & wound up evidently forgot shew was waxwork, for she laughed and moved around all she pleased and lik,ey was more amusing than if she had been quiet I, the s=deceased Mr. Jarley nearly hit a hole in my cheek to keep from laughing and then didn't succeed very well. I was in aginy for awhile when my mnose began to tickle and I couldm't scratch it. The girls were all very pretty and I thin every body got theor money's worth. They had a dance after the performance and Mrs. Moon gave me another lesson. I believe I could learn if I would eep at it but not likley I will get another chance now till next summer. |
