been troubled lately by a very disagreeable odour in the dining room and until this morning have been unable to dosciver the cause, but upon investigation to Dad found our two cats the black one and the white one which disapprared from the horse stable as mysteriously lying dead in the garret directly over the dining room stove, where it was warm. Frank found the reains dof the grey catunderneath the cultivator in the. arn to-night, our once great supply of cats has now dwindled down to tweo head. Dick had to work to-night so did not get home to tea. Mrs. McBain. died very sudenly this morning about ten o'clock. I had a pretty good practoce to-might. Rather cold, ut sunny, windy to-night.
