Line 1: Line 1:
late for Dad. to plow thw garden. as he had hoped to do but Hby and Frank surveyed all the3 land east of the lane and this side of the gully and "got stakeds up" to set the fence posts by. They figure there is about fifty acres. Lila has been over all day and Win. came over about five They and Huby stayed to tea. Frank and I went down wirth them after tea. and found they had just laid fresh cement on the brodge and no-one could go over. So we went through Uncle Ward's and took Ada's boat down from the barn and launched it for her. She went over with us in the boat and as it leaked like a sieve Huby had to make two teips of it. I went up to get my hair cut and Frank went ot the moving picture show. Ada was going to wait for us at Huby's so we could go back with her but when I got sown there she and Huby had just gone. Frank came soon after I did and when we got down to the bridge Huby was just comong back with the boat. so we took it back with us and left it below Woodson's. Dick came home afterwards when the watchmen didn't happe to be around and ewalked over the cement but sisn't leave any tracks. The papers are full of the awful wreck of the Express of Ireland. which went down off Father Point yesterday with mnearly 10000 people. It was a heavy fog and another coal boat ran into her. Hit but nice breeze
