Thursday August 26th

This morning we ll went down town, Enah & the baby went up and spent the day at the James' and Dad. Frank & I started to cut down the old bad locust tree in front of Hunby's. We were afraid to cut it at the roots as it was so tasll it would fall on the teletraoph wires so we sawed it about through ebout halfway up and Frank clmbed up as high as he could and tied a rope to it so we could had a good urchase.
