Aunty got up at six o'clock this mornng and got my breakfast and I left for Caledonia. When I got there there was no sign of Douglas so the fellow at thre station said I had better telephone him so I did and found that as I ha dsaid in my card I would D.V. be down Thursday morning he didn't quite understand and thought it meant to drive down, however he casme right in after me in his Ford and we got out to his place about four miles out about ten o'clock, he showed me all through his cattle, he had s over a hundred head and it was like going to a show, he has both Bates bred and Scotch bred Shorthorn's and some of the fmailys have been on the farm for sixty years. I wanted to get a cow woth a record and giving milk. now if i could but as he lests hios calves suck all his cows so of coursehad no records and he advised me not to get a cow
