morning to tell me I couldn't go to Guelph as Neff had said last night that tige was going to take Lloyd Ryerse an me in his car, but Tige said he was alone as his father was off canvassing for Victory Loan subscriptions and Albert was picking apples for George Duncan but Lloyd said he thought the real cause was that he mother was afraid of him getting the Flu. He went on down to tell Lloyd and by the time they got back I was about ready to go so we drove up to M<u>c</u>Brides's and telephoned Neff. At first he said he could take up up with him but as Butler, Nixon & Mitchell were goig too we thought it would be quite a load so we said we would go to Galt by Radial and he could pick us up there so we did. I thought things went fairly cheaply although the stock was nothing extra. Mostly sows but a few sheep and cattle. There was one very nnice young short horn bull which went up around five hundred, and Carpenter & Ross bought a white heifer for over a thousand
