I slept for about an hour after dinner and then Dad. and I got out the cultivator and old Harry and cultivated the garden. Enah, Tid. & Marion went down to the Lake for a swim. Marion stayed at Aunty's for tea and George and I walked down after tea. Mrs. Millman & Billy were there for tea and Billy was reading them the manuscript of a book he is writing. It sounded very well written what I heard of it. Quint & Joe were working at the boat house and I went up town with them but spent the evening over at the Monteiths. Very hot still. |
