It was too wet to work at the hay to-day so Dad & Frank hauled out manure all day. Dick and I went back to set the fence posts across the side hill field from the woods to ther gully as we want to et the cattle in where wwe cut the hay off as soon as possible. The ground was so hard we couldn;t make much impression on it with the post auger but got one post set. We then went over to John Wesss's to borrow his spud to loosen up the hard clay and were over there till noon, but this after noonwe mad ebetter progress by using the spud and I think goit six posts set. To-night Dick and I went down town as I wanted to try on a pair of shoes at Caley's but they were closed up sdo we sdecided to go to the show. We were just a little early for the second show so wemt over to Pete Holmes where we ran across Bob & Dess, so we took them to the show with us. It was "The Heart of Humaniyty" a war oicture showinf just Cana=dian troiops. It was very good but very sad an ddepicted some horrible examples of German brutality.
