We got paid two dollars apiece for playing on the 1st of July and the Council promised us 25 dollars a night for the summer playing Thursdays They wanted to go up to serenade Bill Wamsley but Mr. Bagley thought it would be a mistake for the band to go up and play good music as every body that got married in future would expect us out, so we didn't go Aunty told us to-night that Jack Martin has bought Mrs Battersbys place. |
