Friday October 14th

I haven't done any thing much all day except feel rather tough although not as tough as if I had moved around more. Marj. went down about eleven and brought Aunty, Aunty Alice and little John over in the cart and Walter and Elsie walked over and arrived at the same time. They were here most of the after noon and little John seemed to have a fine time seeing the little pigs and other animals and picking up chestnu hickory nuts. Aunty Alice went down a little earlier than the rest as they thought there was a possibility of Vernon coming but she didn't. Marj. took the others down before tea. It was a beautiful day, breezy but mild.

Saturday October 15th

I felt quite a lot better to-day but not quite up to the mark yet. We didn't got the sheep all up this fore-noon and picked out 11 of what we considered the best ewes and put them over in the other field with old Archie. We also picked out the six best ewe lambs and marked them. The others we will sell if we can, but the sheep market is very poor, in fact so is any livestock market, and buyers are scarce. This after noon Dad. and I went out and set up four more rows of corn shocks. I didn't work very hard at it The band went to Donnybrook Fair this after noon but I sent them word that I couldn't go. I went down to-night to a meeting of theTuxis boys but there were only three out, it being the first of the season. Walter Elsie and little John left to-day. Another beautiful day
