It is a Doherty and looks like a fine one. I then went over to Charlie's and got there just as they were ready to start We thrashed his red seed about a bag out before dinner and started on the alfalfa. Chris came out in his car and took the gang all except Tom, Harvey Evans & me over to John Quanbury's for dinner and Charlie drove out again in the hay rack. We stopped off at home for dinner. We thrashed alfalfa which didn't ammount to much and five loads of alsike this after noon and finished about five o'clock. I came home and helped Dad. milk had a little tea and went down to the Tuxis boys supper. Marj. & Lila were there looking after things assisted by several of the boys. Mr. Cornish & John Dunn came in for tea Mr. Cornish spoke to the boys and Mr. Dunn played a little for us but they had to leave early to meet a freind. Manning came down about nine and kept things moving till about half past ten. By that time Marj. was so tired that we went down to Aunty's and stayed all night. They were in bed when we got there but got up to fix our bed. Pickford came over this after noon and killed a ewe for us. Irene was here for tea. I made Arthur hopping mad at me this after noon by getting into a scuffle with him and sitting on him & slapping him. I didn't mean to make him so sore but he swears {illegible}

would have to kill about half of them. He paid me for the old hens he got in July and for some eggs so I got a cheque for $83.1{4?}which I thought wasn't so bad. He gave me $1.20 apiece for the hens & 60 cts a doz for the eggs. I went on down town from there and got some chairs that Aunt Ida had promised to Enah and which were at Aunty's. This after noon Dad. and I had to go and fix a piece of fence that had either blown down or been pushed down between the gully & the new seeding on the wheat stubble and the cattle were all on there. We then took the waggon out and piled on all the loose corn stalks we could. Enah went down to the Cornish's for tea to-night and then to choir practice.
