Thursday October 27th
Dad. & I went over to Pickfords first thing this morning and found our two yearlings were with his cattle so with his help we drove them down the road and into the gully. We then came home and put off the load of clover seed and got another one, all that was raked up, on and off before dinner. Joe Field was over to ask Dad about a sick cow but didnt delay much. I went out right after dinner and raked up the clover seed north of the mangels and Dad. came out when he got the chores done and cocked about half of it up. When I finished raking I hooked on to the waggon and we put on what Dad. had cocked which wasn't quite a load. It was about half past four when we got to the barn and then Marj. and I went down and got a lot of plants from Miss McQueen. They are getting all ready for their sale on Saturday. Marj. stayed at the Bagley's for tea and went to the Bible study class to-night. I went down after tea to chart a couple more boys but they didn't show up. Marj. and I went up to the Bagley's for awhile. It was very mild all day & raining to-night.
