Saturday November 5th
It has been cloudy and raw all day but didn't rain so Dad. and I got in two more loads of mangels and put them down cellar in pretty good shape. Marj. and Enah drove down with Mexico this after noon to wish Aunty Alice a happy birthday and Marj. stayed down and went to a tea party at Bessie Paterson's in Marj.'s honor. Mr. Cornish was over this after noon for a few minutes ro give Enah the numbers of two of Canon Scotts hymns which he wanted for the soldiers service tomorrow I went down to a Tuxis boys meeting and met Marj. at Huby's Aunty & Aunty Alice were there having been there for tea to celebrate Aunty Alice's birthday
Sunday November 6th
Marj. Tid and I went down to Sunday school and and Dad & Enah drove Queen down to church. It was supposed to be church parade for the vetrans and about 26 were in church but there should have been twice that number. Sam Morris got the thing up and invited them in an offhand way so that a great many didn't come. Marj. and I stayed at Aunty's for dinner and most of the after noon Glad Law invited us up there for tea so I went home early to do the chores up and Marj went and called on the McQueen's before she went to the Laws. Dad thought it would make the milking too early if we did it before tea so we let it go and didn't milk at all. Marj. and I had a very nice tea and evening at the Law's and then as it was raining hard when we came away we went down and stayed at Auntys all night. Cold & cloudy, snowed a little
