| + | I came home early this morning and got here before Dad. had gone out to do chores. Marj. stayed down to go to the service Mr. Cornish held at a quarter to eleven to observe Armistice Day. She came home before dinner. Dad. and I spent the day doing chores and gathering up the snow fences to put around the stack but didn't have time to fasten them up. We also brought in some more corn stalks. Tid has a bad cold and didn't go to school to-day. To-night Dad and Enah went down to choir practice. The Washington Conference on the Limitation of Armaments is supposed to start to-day. There seem to be great differences of opinion regarding the outcome of it. In spite of the fact that Harding issued a warning not to expect too much right away, a great many people are looking forward to the millenium starting in right away. Mr. Cornish is very hopeful that some thing wonderful will come of it especially if the public aid with their prayers. There are others, skeptics, who try to point out that it is no new idea and that this conference will be as helpless to cope with the spirit of militarism as the others have been, while about all the hope that is held out by the Americans is the opinion that for now the only move will be to scrap the old types and obsolete warships but not make any changes | ||

school this morning then fed up the cattle and drove Enah down town to get some meat. I did chores and cleaned up the old barn floor. This after noon Enah and Marj. went to a party at Ada's, and Marj. went on down and had tea at Auntys then went with them to the Bible Class. Dad. and I hauled out the stuff I cleaned off the barn floor and dumped it in the lane then I went on out and got a shock of corn to feed to-night while Dad. went after Tid. Old Pommers got feeling gay when I was coming in with the corn and kicked over the tongue and skinned his leg a little. To-night I went down to band practice but went around to the Bible Class for a little while first. After band practice I went down to Aunty's where Marj. was waiting for me but as the walking was so bad and Marj. felt so miserable with her cold we stayed down there all night.
