seem like very first class feed for them but maybe it wont hurt them. I spent most of the forenoon doing chores but went out about eleven and opened some ditches for Dad. and then came up and dug the dahlias. This afternoon I chored around and cleared up the dahlia tops and put the roots in a crate and went out and dug a few potatoes, besides doing a few other odd jobs. Marj. went down town this after noon and to-night feels tough with a headache. Much milder to-day. Sunny this morning, turning cloudy.

Thursday November 17th

We got a good early start this morning and Dad. got a good day's ploughing in. I did up the chores for this morng and then went out and dug all the potatoes I could carry up in a bag and a pail. I couldn't dig any and leave them out there on account ofthe cows. There are a lot of nic eones out tere but in places it is too wet to dig them and I am afraid they will rot.
