Sat. " 29 Veterinary Inspector pronounces Anthrax, cause of death of Bannister's & Quanbury's cows. Dad. disagrees.
Sun. Sept. 13 We boys visit Exhibition. Dad. keeps diary while we are gone and has busy time with Anthrax reports on cattle
Mon. " 14 Looks as if war can't last long, Germans seem to be in flight.
Sat. " 19 Drilled wheat on buck wheat stubble
Fri. " 25 Finished sowing wheat on alsike stubble.
Sun. " 27 Frost night before last.
Wed. " 30 Dad. sees Harry Harding off. He has been home all summer
Thur. Oct 1 Willie Nixon wins first prize on milk stool at School Fair
