Fred Misener told Frank that Jim Birdsell had been in to see me last night to ask about digging out the cut at Linsay's hill but hadn't done it because I wasn't home so I let the boys out of the gate and drove on up to Shand's to telephone him. |

They nailed a scantling oion the shed and ran the aerial from it to the east gable of the house, grounded to the pump and ran the wires through thekey hole in thre north door, they were then ready to pick up message sform any station that wa sbroadcasting They got a few from Buffalo in the after noon but there wasn't much on till after six o'clock. I did the chores up fairly early, and Ina, who wa shere all day ansd stayed for the concert, and I sat through tea with the earphones on our heads, listening to music | |

Wednesday January 21st
Dad and Frank brought the wood out this morning just as we were about ready to start for town. We went down to Aunty's for dinner and this after noon I went to the postponed annual meeting of the Horticultural Society, there were just a few there but enough to elect officers for next year. We put Jack King in as president in place of Mr. Aldried We got home about dark. It was cold but a beautiful day.
