We had a late breakfast and I spent most of the forenoon doing chores and helping Marj. This afternoon we all drove over to see Dad. for awhile, he feels pretty tough, we went on down town to post a letter and it was fairly late when we got home. Lovely day

It was raining first thing this morning amd had been thawing all night, the first thaw we have had since before Christmas, but it didn't last long. It began to snow before noon and has been snowing and getting colder all day. To-night the wind is from the north and it is very cold. I had to melt a hole in the mouth of the drain again this morning and I suppose it will freeze up again as the hole I melt is too small to stay open. I threw a wheel barrow load of manure on top of the hay that I covered over it the other day. This after noon I made a cut across my hay mow and pitched half of it over to get at more of my alfalfa for the cows. Mabel was in for a few minutes to-night. Marj. got very interested in a new word puzzle a series of which started in the Mail & Empire to-day.
