This has been another beautiful day, so mild it was fairly warm. Trum. Walker came in this morning while I was sitting around after breakfast reading and we settled up for the wheat I got it came to $19.80 He let me have the first lot at $1.35 as that is what he got for what he sold at that time and the rest at $1.60. although it is now at $1.80 and going up and he is still

I did up the chores this morning, got in a supply of corn stalks and cleaned all the old rotten mangels and pumpkins out of the cellar.

discouraging for her that she went to bed. She was tired out any way. It looks to me as if the fat that is in the jars would hermetically seal them, so that I don't see why it should matter if a little {cordial?} got in at the top. She had 11 pints of it. This after noon I cleaned out the pullets pen and put some fresh straw in and I cleaned out the old hen's pen after tea. It is so beautifully moon light, that it is really the best time to do it as it doesn't disturb the hens. Now that I have such nice straw on hand I didn't want to lose any time cleaning them out as they needed it. Harry B. was out all the after noon helping me. Harry Blake was in this after noon and left our assessment at $1000. Beautiful day, sunny and very mild.
