Marj. was very tired so she stayed in bed till about half past eight and we had a very late breakfast so decided not to eat again till late afternoon when we had a bang-up chicken dinner I went over to the school house to sweep as soon as I got the chores done and was delighted to find my new number of the International Book Review in the mailbox (we had evidently missed it yesterday) and had visions of a glorious read this after noon. The first thing necessary was to get the kids to sleep, with Gay this was soon accomplished by taking her out in the sleigh for a little while. I then took the Niblits out while I did up some outside work, and came in and rocked him for some time. He showed sign's of departing to the Land of Nod but although sleepy he wouldn't let himself go, so I had to give that up. About this time Gay woke up so she had to be brought in out of her sleigh. I put her in Harry B's bed to play but she roared till we put her on the floor where she still roared, so then we all three, she Harry B & I pushed a chair around the kitchen for awhile till she got tired of that. About this time I thought I had better help Marj. |
