I notched the biggest of the pines this morning but didnt take time to cut it down as it is slow work alone and I finished making. alittle grit & shell hopper for the chickens. Marj. let Hary B. out for. aplay and as I cam einto the house for some thig I saw him out back of the barn. I was only in the huse a minute or two and when I went out he ha ddiasappeared, and after a short search I saw his little re dcoat over in the school yard, as he was climnbing the hill. I wernt over and got him and ha dto laugh at the trail he made down the hill and across the little flat and into the shcool yard where the fenc es doown, the littlepattern on the sole sof his new rubber boots so funny where he has walked acrooss a piece of snow foeld where there are bp othe rtracks. It loks at a glance of the trail of some little anumal, the spaces between the footprints about the sam elength as rthe themselves. We had dinner early and I drove down right after to go to Lila's funeral. I got Uncle Wrad and drive hom down. We had a very short servic eat the hlouse and then went o the church where there seemed ot be a lot of people. Only the bearers, and Dad & Huby went up to the cemetry, not many have their cars out. Alfred Schubert, Dick Tibbetts and Ted. Nicolls drove us and Mr. Cornish up there and Dave Ward must
