It was a beautiful fore noon but too wet to do much but chores. I spent most of the morning cursing the horses and trimming them up and tinkering at a martin house. As it was such a lovely day I thought it would be a good idea to take Gay out for an airing so i took her down town and Ina went home for the after noon. I left gay at Aunty's and as she asda's me coming from the Lawson's she came home to

Monday March 16th

I spent the forenoon doing chores and tinkering jobs such as fixing some more of my bird house. This after noon I drove down town and took the eggs and got a supply of groceries. I had 12 doz. eggs but they had dropped to 22 cts. so they didn't pay for the groceries. I went in to see Marj. who was feeling better. Aunty was over there holding babies for Mrs. Lawson. I stopped in to see Harry B. who is quite happy and enjoying life. I met Frank on the hill on my way in and it gave me a scare as I thought some thing had gone wrong but he was just going over to Tupper's to look at some hay. I was over at the Lampkin's for awhile this morning Cloudy & raw.

Tuesday March 17th

It was pouring rain early this morning and rained hard till about eleven when it cleared off and has been a very nice after noon. I wrote a letter to Grand.Daddy this morning announcing his lates great-grand daughter and then I washed the best of the parsnips as Sam. told me he would take some. I also took some down for Aunty, Mrs. Lawson & Grace Allan. Frank came over just as I was going out after dinner. He wanted the waggon to go down and get some fertilizer that he had ordered some time ago and that was down in the car, so we hooked up the team and took the parsnips in the waggon. We got the fertilizer without any trouble it was in a car out along the dock and I left the parsnips in at Sam's, he didn't know how much they would be worth. I stopped in on the way home to see Marj. and took her some shamrock that Frank brought over for her for St. Patrick's day. Aunty was sitting with her to-day. Dad. & Frank sheared the old ewe mother to the triplets which came Saturday, she is coming to her milk now.
