| − | watch her as Aunty Alice was going up town. I went in to see Marj. for awhile and then went on up town and got my hair cut. I told Ina I would try to meet her at the Winding Hill at five o'clock but as I went around by the farm and the roads that way are so bad I didn't get home till nearly six. Just as Gay. and I started for home it began to rain and got colder so Dad. let me have his mackinaw. It turned out to be a very rough night with high wind and a terriffic downpour. Dad. & Frank hooked up Pommers & George to the big waggon & rack this morning and I don't know what all happened but they got away and tore out two or three fence posts in front of the house ran in to the corner of the house broke the tongue, reach, rack and the end | + | watch her as Aunty Alice was going up town. In order to tame the horses down a little, this after noon they hooked them to the bob-sleighs which they dragged out here through the mud and then got the waggon and went down after silage. |
