| − | Ina took the carpet up out of the front room this morning and I beat it for her. I didn't get a very early start as I had to go over to the school house twice first to sweep and then to dust. I didn't get over last night and it was very dirty. Dad. and Frank came out quite early with a load of pea silage and when we unloaded it they hooked to the road scraper. We had to pound out the hammer strap before we could get the draw bolt through the doubletrees and as it was bad to use a smaller sized draw bolt. I went with them as far as Evan's and then came home to dinner. They intended to go to the town limits and back this after noon but for some reason didn't get back. Just as we left there we noticed a few flashes of lightening which increased in number & vividness as we got towards home and finally there commenced to be rumblings of thunder, by the time I got the chores all done, there was a full fledged thunder storm in progress. It soon passed over but rained more during the night. Lovely day, warm. |

I didn't think I would be down to-day but I wanted to know if Marj. was feeling better. I met Dad. & Frank at the factory with a load of pea silage which they were going to bring out to me but they said as I was not home they would take it home and bring me a load to-morrow. Marj. was feeling better. I called in to see Harry B. on my way home and he for the first time showed signs of wanting me to take him with me. Beautiful day again but quite a cold breeze.
