As soon as I had breakfast and swept the school house I went back to the culvert beyond Fred Misner's amnd fund Tom. Stone already at work. We worked at it all day and raised the tile at each end as they were much lowert than the ones in thecenter which coldn't take as much wayter as they should. I called Marston up and he told me to do any thing that I thought needed doing, and to put the new tile in this culvert that weere there but we didn't think there were enough of them. Ina told me this morning that she wouldn't be able to stay on after easter. Cold, raw east wind, cloudy

Mrs. Monroe's corner as it had washed out under the road and Charlie Butler's horse had gone in and turned a complete summersault. He thought after last nights rain it might need some more fixing so I drove him back. Tupper came along while we were there and rode on into town with me. I got up to Jone's about 11 o'clock, had dinne there and finished the painting about four. He seemed well pleased and paid me $3. I went in for awhile on my way home to see Marj. Rained on my way home.

Saturday March 28th

Dad. & Frank brought the grader back yesterday but said they couldn't do the rest of the road so I went over right after breakfast and got Tom. Stone to hook to it and we made one round on the north end of the beat before dinner. Tom made the other round on the whole beat this after noon and had his man with him. I went down town and did the week's trading and spent quite a little time with Marj. The doctor was there and told her she would have to stay at Mrs. Lawson's another week. She is feeling better though. Cold north west wind all day. Snowing to-night.

Sunday March 29th

The ground was covered with snow this moring which has pretty well disappeared by to-night although it has been cloudy & raw with occasional snow flurries all day. Gay & I went down town this morning and Ina went home for the day. I got down for church and Aunty came home from Sunday school to be with Gay. I spent the after-noon with Marj. I had tea at Aunty's and called for Ina on the way home. She had tea at home. This was Mr. Robertson's last Sunday here.
