It was drizzling this morning so we didn't try to do any road work and i sopent the fore noon cutting and laying as strip of linoleum in the kitchen to fill in the little soace wereit was cut too short I didn't get the glue to stick very well where I put the old windown blinds under the seam. I also painted a wash-stand that Marj. wanted doen. It has been out in the shed since last year and jad chicken mites in it. I thought they twould be all starved or frozen by now but when I put the chinamel on tey streane dout of the cxracks so I set the thing outsooors. Tom. came this after noon and we went down to the hill. We first ploughe dout a furrow from the top of the hill along Dad's place & Martin's to the corner and came back on the other side Frank came along when we fogot to thre crner and we put him to work thror=wing out the furrow so that we can plough another one back. We then started to plough a ditch in the east side of the hill but from Tom. broke the ekd of his coulter in some unknown way so we couldn't use it. Evan's had just fixed it up for hi,m.
