This has been a horrible day. It rained hard during the night and has been very cloudy with frequent showets and a few rolls of thunder all day together with a fierce north-w=east gale which is still raging to-night. We have had two fires going all day and then found it difficult to keep warm, in fact it wasn't a warm as it should have been when the baby had her bath to-nigjt and she has seemed a little upset this evening from some caus eor other, she is usually so good that we hardly know she exists. We got up very late this mornign and just had two meals. I just did up the necessary chores and sat around the house for the rewst of the time doing dishes, rerading writing, snoozing & playing with H.B.

He told Dad. that he would give him more details of the matter but that it was a long and complicated story and if he could get the proof he needed which he said he had very little doubt of, it would be as far as Dad was concerned a romance for he would be a very rich man. Marj. got word to-day from Mr. Stenson that they hoped to get Uncle George's affairs settled up very soon and that it would then be divided The weather all week has been for the most part dry cold and windy, although there was a shower Monday night & Tuesday night and Tuesday was quite warm and sultry. Friday was fairly warm but windy. Harry B. has come home with a very large repertoire of nursery rhymes which he recites when ever he has nothing else in particular to say. His favorite number is "Hing a hong of hic-huh", which he reels off at full length with great elecutionary expression and winds up dramatically snapping off his nose to illustrate the manner in which the maid lost hers.
