| + | Harry B and I went over to the farm as early as we could get away as Dad. said they wanted to start about nine. Harry B was spending the day with "Gran". Dad. said we were going up in Quint's old car as they couldn't get another and Quint has been getting his all fixed up at Mr. Park's expense or rather the estate's for such occasions as this. Quint & Mr. Parks drove over about 10.30 and we got to Port Rowan soon after noon, but stopped in St. Williams for quite awhile for Dad. & Mr. Parks to interview Dr. Andrew McInnes who knew Great Grandfather & Uncle Quintin well and is going to Simcoe on Friday to make an affadavit for them | ||

Saturday April 25th
I spent the forenoon hoeing one row of strawberries they should have been all cleaned out last fall but I didn't get it done and there is a considerable amount of grass in them. This after noon I drove Azadouhy down to catch the car, she promised to come back on the one car Monday. I spent an hour or so down at Aunty's talking with Mr. Parks and looking over the lists of property of the Dick estate. Aunty Alice & I marked several books in the library which we thought would be worth sending out. Mrs. Sidney McQueen ran into Elden Crosbie's buggy to-night and smashed it up a little and the horse ran away free of the buggy, no one was hurt.
Sunday April 26th
Marj. & I took things easy this morning but got all the chores done and dressed up after dinner as I thought that Tom. Snowden passed me on the road yesterday and said they would be up to-day. They all came with Mr. & Mrs. Will Ward about the middle of the after noon. They hadn't been here long when Dad. & Mr. Parks drove over. Soon after that we were threatened with a thunder-storm so the Nanticoke folk left in rather a hurry but Dad. & Mr. Parks waited till it was over, it soon was and it came out nice after it although it rained more later on. It was cooler after it and the wind got around to the north east. Dad. said they intended going to Port Rowan to-morrow and asked me if I could go as I had said I would like to when they went.
