Friday May 1st
I drove over to get some hatching eggs from Mrs. McBride this morning and was there quite awhile. She could only let me have four dozen and I wanted thirteen. I went from there over and got three more dozen from Mrs. Monroe. I spent most of the afternoon making a gate for the yard here so that I can straighten up the fence and yet have a way to drive in. Harry B & Zadouhy went over to the school house this afternoon to Arbour Day celebration. They had to celebrate inside as it has drizzled nearly all day and is still cold. The wind is now nor-west not east. Bobby had a heifer calf this after noon.
