Sunday July 19th

Harry B. got me up a little after 4.30 this morning and as he got in our bed I though I might as well stay up, so I killed a hen that I shut up last night and had the milking done before six. I went at Quints sign before breakfast and again right after breakfast and worked at it till noon before I finished it. This after noon I shaved and lay around till about four and then we all went for a drive up the fourth concession and back the third We called in at the Smythe's but there was no one home except an eldery lady whom we did not know but who knew me when I was Harry B's size and who seemed very glad to see us and was delighted with the children, she was a very nice person to talk to and we learned later that she was Miss Walker, Mrs. Smythe's aunt. We stopped in too at Cam. McBride's and Marj. borrowed a couple more Saturday Evening Post's from Mrs. McBride. Herb. Law has been ploughing there for wheat. Hot, nice breeze

Monday July 20th

I went over home this morning with the team and waggon and Dad. & I took his yearling pig down to & shipped him. He was a nic eone and Jack McBride gave huim full weight and alowed Dad. full price although he went 250 lbs. Dad. got over $31.00 for him, they were12.75. Dad. gave me $26.00 of it and I took it over and paid my bill at the planing mill We got abck to the famr at noon and `i came right on home. Frank cut the front field of wheat to-day with the tractor and had Tim on the binder to y=run the sheaf carrier. I guess tnat wouldbe about all he could would have to look after as the grain was so even. I went down to band poracricd to-night. Very hot, sultry.
