Wednesday July 22nd

As it was much too wet to do anything much else to-day we all went to town. I took Ina down to Art. Quanbury's first. We got down town about the middle of the fore noon and as they rather expected us on account of the rain we stayed at Aunty's for dinner. I went up to Bill Lemmon's before dinner and he put another temporary filling in my tooth and after dinner I got my hair cut. Frank took Queen and the buggy and brought Will Cruise's short binder tongue for the tractor down to the Widespread for a pattern and had them cut one out for him. Quint was at Aunty's for dinner. Vernon has gone to Brantford for the rest of the week but Walter & Rebecca are still there. We got home about five o'clock and I did the chores up right away so as to be ready for Carl at seven o'clock. He Frank & Jim Ryerse came along before I had waited long and we went right up this road to Waterford. Mr. Bagley came in right after us and the rest of the boys came up on the radial. The concert went off without a hitch and we met the Waterford boys going and coming. I got home at eleven earlier than I usualy do from Dover Fine & cool.
