I was over there telling them to watch for Charlie when Harvey & Mrs. Evans brought poor old Dove home, he went over there this morning to help them haul in oats & had worked all day and to-night fell off a load and struck his head & shoulders on the ground. He was badly shaken up and frightened and so was Mrs. Lampkins when she saw him. I spent a pleasant evening with the baby as she wouldn't sleep. I don't think there was any thing the matter with her but I had her up most of the time Marj. was away. Very hot & close all day, but much cooler to-night. |
