Dad. came over this morning to get some 14 ft boards to make the cribbing for his water trough but we could only find two long enough. He helped me saw up the butt of the maple tree and took Harry B & Gay back with him. I spent the remainder of the fore noon levelling clay and this after noon Marj. the baby and I drove down in the waggon. We left the baby at the farm and Dad. & I went down and got 5 bbls {barrels} of cement for the water trough and Marj. went up to the bank with her cheque. We waited till she got all through with her business & all came home in the waggon. Marj. went over to the Lampkin's to-night with some roses. Tim brought home all he could carry in his arms that he fished out of the pond by the greenhouse. Aunty & Aunty Alice are feeling very tired. Aunty Alice was up the other night with Miss Battersby. | + | I rolled harrowr=ed and disked the little piece of alfalfa ground along the lane to-day. It was very hot and sultry this after noon, the forenoon was not so bad. I spent about an hour or two after dinner cleaning up and cuting with the lawen mower the grass in front of thre house so now have that corner of the yard looking as if it belonged to civilized people marj. made twelve ints pf tomato spoup to0day and is all in. I had to parag[de around in my nightshirt last night and chase Bobbie back in the barnyard, she & Mary have been jumping he orchard fence regularly now for about two weeks every night and prowling around the door yard but last night Bobbie was determined to come in ther house, ashe ushed ther screen door open and upset a pail of potatoes ad kicked up a grwat racket. | ||

and one to Phyl. I went down again to-night to the last band concert of the season. Ina was here again to-day ironing. Marj. got a cheque to-day for $250.00 as part of her share of Uncle George's estate. Frank left some time during last night for the fair and expected to get home some time during to-night. Threatening & hot.
