party Essie was having for all her friends with babies. They left Harry B & Gay at Mrs. Lampkins. Mr. Bagley brought them home about dark. Fair and very cool all day.

Saturday September 26th

We thought that they would not allow us to haul corn in to the factory to-day, so Frank worked up his pea stubble and sowed it and I disked over my little summer fallow and the garden south of the house and also cut the lawn. About four o'clock we all drove down town and Marj. took Harry B to the doctor. He said he had tonsilitis and that we must be very careful of him. I noticed a few teams putting corn off at the factory when we went by this after noon but Frank was anxious to get his wheat in any way. Mabel had school to-day on account of not having it on Monday and this after noon Mrs. Walker brought some more balloons over for me to paint as Mabel has a chance to try for the phonograph which is first prize at the Simcoe Fair on Tuesday. Fine and warmer

Sunday September 27th

It rained a little this fore noon and we didn't get up early nor hurry much when we did get up

so that it was about ten o'clock when we finished breakfast. I was sitting around reading and and playing with the ids and Marj. doing odd jobs around the house qwhen Cory Butler appeared to spend the d{ay?} Charlie was out in the. uggy but had been over to Mel's to buy little pigs and as he was in his old clothes had to go home to change/ I drobe over with him and viewed his recent achievements in cabinet making. Marj. managed to scare up a very respectable dinner and we had an enjoyable after noon during which I painted 12 more balloons for Mabel. They left about five and I helped Dave Lampkins chase two of his cows out of my corn as it had rained we got pretty wet doing it.
